The Sherwood Edinburgh Guest house is on the A701, exactly 1 mile from Edinburgh's famous Royal Mile. It is best reached by car if you take the A720 city bypass and get off at the Straiton junction. Then follow the signs for the city centre.
From the Waverly Train Station a taxi is very reasonably priced or if you walk up to Princes St. you can take any bus going to Minto St. ( nos 3, 7, 8, 29, 49 to name but a few ) which costs 1.30
From the airport a taxi will cost in excess of £22.00 depending on traffic. Bus to city centre is available at around £3.50 each way ( £5.00 return ), then bus as above.
